This page explains how Scent Reminiscent presents and prepares discovery sets, fragrance samples, sample vials and other independently prepared fragrance portions sold through scentreminiscent.com.

Please read this page carefully before purchasing any discovery set, fragrance sample or sample vial.

1. Independent Fragrance Samples

Scent Reminiscent may offer discovery sets, fragrance samples, sample vials and other small-format fragrance portions.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, these items are independently prepared by Scent Reminiscent from genuine original fragrance products.

They are not supplied, produced, bottled, packaged, endorsed, approved or authorised by the original fragrance brand, designer, manufacturer, distributor, trade mark owner or copyright owner.

2. Genuine Original Source Products

Where a fragrance sample is prepared from an original fragrance product, we take reasonable steps to ensure that the source product is genuine.

The original source product may be a full bottle, partial bottle, tester, older stock item, discontinued item, vintage item, collector-owned item, private collection item or other genuine fragrance product.

Some source products may be rare, discontinued, vintage, older-formula, pre-reformulation, earlier-packaging or limited-availability items.

3. Independent Re-bottling

Fragrance samples and discovery set items may be transferred from the original product into separate sample vials, atomisers or other suitable containers.

This process may also be referred to as independent re-bottling or decanting.

The sample vial, atomiser, label, outer packaging and presentation are provided by Scent Reminiscent unless expressly stated otherwise.

They are not the original retail packaging of the fragrance brand.

4. Discovery Sets

Discovery sets may include a selection of fragrance samples chosen by Scent Reminiscent.

These sets may be arranged by fragrance family, brand, era, theme, availability, rarity, discontinued status, vintage character or other relevant criteria.

The contents of each discovery set will be described on the relevant product page.

Discovery sets are intended to allow customers to experience smaller quantities of fragrances before considering larger bottles, rare bottles, discontinued bottles or collector items.

5. Sample Sizes and Fill Levels

The stated sample size refers to the approximate volume of fragrance supplied.

Small variations may occur due to the nature of hand-prepared samples, atomiser design, vial shape, filling method, evaporation, fragrance viscosity or normal preparation tolerance.

We aim to fill sample vials accurately and consistently.

Any stated volume should be treated as an approximate quantity unless expressly stated otherwise.

6. Labelling and Presentation

Sample vials and discovery set items may be labelled with information such as the fragrance name, brand name, concentration, sample size or other identifying details.

Brand names, fragrance names, logos and trade marks are used only to identify the genuine fragrance product from which the sample has been prepared.

All trade marks remain the property of their respective owners.

Scent Reminiscent’s sample labels, vials, atomisers and packaging are independent and should not be confused with the original brand’s retail packaging.

7. Scent, Age and Condition

Fragrance samples prepared from vintage, discontinued, older-formula, pre-reformulation or older-packaging products may reflect the condition, age and character of the original source product.

Such samples may not smell, perform or present exactly like a newly manufactured bottle or a current retail version of the same fragrance.

Differences in scent, colour, strength, longevity, projection, top-note freshness or overall character may occur due to age, storage history, batch variation, regional variation, formulation changes or natural fragrance development over time.

These characteristics do not automatically mean that the fragrance is not genuine.

8. Hygiene and Preparation

We take reasonable care when preparing fragrance samples.

Samples are prepared using suitable containers and reasonable handling practices.

Because fragrance samples are small-format and may be prepared to order, they should be handled carefully and stored away from heat, direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

9. Returns and Cancellations

Because discovery sets, fragrance samples and sample vials may be hand-prepared, sealed for hygiene reasons, made to order or supplied in small quantities, return and cancellation rights may vary depending on the item and the circumstances.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights where an item is faulty, not as described or otherwise does not meet the requirements of applicable consumer law.

10. Product Photographs

Product photographs form an important part of the product description.

Photographs may show the sample vial, atomiser, label, outer packaging, original source bottle or other relevant presentation details.

Where photographs show an original retail bottle, this may be for identification, presentation or source-reference purposes only. Unless expressly stated otherwise, the customer will receive the sample vial, discovery set or fragrance sample described on the product page, not the full original retail bottle.

Please review all product photographs and product descriptions carefully before purchasing.

11. No Brand Affiliation

Scent Reminiscent is an independent reseller and independent preparer of fragrance samples.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, authorised by, approved by or officially connected with any fragrance brand, designer, manufacturer, distributor, trade mark owner or copyright owner unless expressly stated otherwise.

Any reference to a brand, fragrance name, bottle design, packaging design or trade mark is made only for identification, description and resale of genuine fragrance products.
