At Scent Reminiscent, authenticity is central to what we do.
We specialise in rare, vintage, discontinued, older-formula, pre-reformulation, earlier-packaging and limited-availability fragrances, where careful sourcing and product knowledge matter.
Every item we offer is selected with care, and we take reasonable steps to verify the products we sell.
Nothing in this Authenticity Promise affects your statutory rights.
1. Genuine Products
We sell genuine fragrance products and take reasonable steps to verify the items we offer for sale.
If we have any reason to believe a product is not genuine, we will not knowingly offer it for sale.
Our products may include full bottles, partial bottles, sealed items, unsealed items, testers, miniatures, samples, decants, discontinued stock, old stock, collector-owned stock, private collection items and other fragrance-related goods.
2. Independent Reseller
Scent Reminiscent is an independent reseller of genuine fragrances.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, authorised by, approved by or officially connected with any fragrance brand, designer, manufacturer, distributor, trade mark owner or copyright owner unless expressly stated otherwise.
All brand names, fragrance names, logos, bottle designs, packaging references and trade marks remain the property of their respective owners and are used only for identification, description and resale of genuine products.
3. Lawful and Reputable Sourcing
We aim to source products lawfully from legitimate and reputable channels.
Our sourcing channels may include authorised retailers, department stores, perfumeries, distributors, auctions, business clearances, old stock suppliers, private collections, collectors, estate sales and other lawful sources.
Some items may come from older, discontinued, rare or dead stock. Such items may be genuine but may also show signs of age, storage history, evaporation, box wear, label wear, packaging changes, formulation differences, reformulation differences or other age-related characteristics.
4. Product Verification
Where possible, we assess products using visible information such as bottle design, packaging, label details, batch codes, atomiser design, cap design, box details, fill level, scent characteristics, provenance and seller history.
However, vintage and discontinued fragrances can vary significantly between batches, years, regions, packaging versions and reformulations.
Where a product is sold sealed, we may not be able to inspect the liquid, sprayer, stopper, scent, exact fill level or internal condition without opening it.
5. Product Photographs
Product photographs form an important part of the product description.
Customers should review all photographs carefully before purchase, especially for vintage, discontinued, partial, unboxed, damaged-box, sealed, unsealed, tester, miniature, sample and collector items.

6. No Guarantee of Modern Performance
Vintage, discontinued, older-formula, earlier-packaging and pre-reformulation fragrances may not smell, perform or present exactly like a newly manufactured bottle or a current retail version.
Differences in scent, colour, strength, longevity, projection, evaporation, packaging, top-note freshness and presentation may occur due to age, storage history, batch variation, regional variation or reformulation.
These characteristics do not automatically mean that a product is not genuine.
