About the Fragrance
Society was released under the historic Burberrys name and became one of the house’s notable fragrances of the period. A contemporary 1994 fragrance reference describes it as a sophisticated floral composition, opening with blackcurrant bud, tuberose, orange blossom, osmanthus, bergamot, hyacinth and green notes before developing into an expansive floral heart. The drydown is considerably darker than the floral opening suggests, bringing together oakmoss, frankincense, myrrh, patchouli, cedar, amber, musk and vanilla. Society also received the 1992 FiFi award for Women’s Fragrance of the Year – Luxe.
